Hi World!
I am a professional artist and educator. My artwork has been showcased in galleries throughout the United States. I've had one-man exhibitions at the New York City Parks Department’s Arsenal Gallery and the Jersey City Mayor’s Office Rotunda Gallery and was selected to be a participating artist in The Contemporary Art Fair in New York City and TheHarlem Art Tour in Martha’s Vineyard and Philadelphia.
My illustrations have been published in various periodicals such as The Nation, New York Newsday and the Jersey City Journal. I am the author and illustrator of several children’s books, The Path An Adventure In African History, Arthman and Surviving the Storm, a comic book and preparedness guide for natural disasters. Surviving the Storm was featured on The Steve Adubato Television show and on a Classroom Close-Up segment, which was nominated for an Emmy Award
I have lectured and taught art at the New York UrbanLeague, Hudson County Community College, New York CityCollege, The Brooklyn Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Jersey City Arts High School Program.
I strive to capture the beauty of people living, loving and working, juxtaposed against their pain and strife in my work. My goal is to enlighten, educate and uplift this world with my art.
